Thanks for the 'then a miracle occurs' cartoon, which really is an accurate description of intelligent design creationism.

I noticed your creationist friend invokes Answers In Genesis. That makes him a member of the asylum and a total waste of time.

In my life I have met only one creationist who actually admitted some evidence for evolution (that I explained to him) was a problem for magical creation, and he promised to read some books I recommended. He was the extremely rare exception. The vast majority of creationists are too mentally ill to ever be able to learn anything.
